COUNCIL’S 3 YEAR WATER SUBSIDY ENDS 

Council over the last 3 years has been providing a subsidy to water and sewerage customers of Unitywater.  This subsidy was to assist residents by easing the financial burden of some of the changes to water pricing that became necessary as a consequence of the introduction of the previous State Governments water reforms.

Three local delegates Alison Price, Jerome deKretzer and Trevor Nelson-Jones from the Pine Rivers electorate represented our community in Mackay as the process commenced to help shape Queensland’s future. 

The Queensland Plan will be a plan created by Queenslanders, for Queensland.

Registration fees for cats and dogs have been adjusted to better reflect the true cost of delivering animal management services to the Moreton Bay Region.

The cost of registering a desexed cat or dog with Moreton Bay Regional Council will increase by $5 to $30 per year at renewal.

Upcoming Events

On Wednesday 24th April I will be hosting a dinner at Club Pine Rivers with guest speaker Queensland Treasurer and Minister for Trade, The Hon Tim Nicholls. Mr Nicholls will be speaking about “How Pine Rivers Can Contribute to Queensland’s Economic Future”.  I will also be speaking about “Building Pine Rivers’ Economic Future”.

On Tuesday 7th May I will be hosting a lunch at the Dayboro Deli with guest speaker Minister for Tourism, Major Events, Small Business and Commonwealth Games, The Hon Jann Stuckey. Numbers are limited, so early bookings are essential. Minister Stuckey will also be meeting with a number of local business owners that day so that we can show her just how much the Dayboro region has to offer.
