ARTIST OF THE MONTH – October 2012
Bea Simpson
“I started painting after moving to Queensland and not working or knowing many people I needed a hobby and just fell into painting. I started as a water-colourist but never really felt that that was me. I have since moved on to Acrylic / Mixed Media and just love the freedom to use anything I please. I am still learning, and I guess I always will, as it is a journey and there are always new and exciting things to discover.
I have met many great people through Art and been to quite a few interesting Tutors. I have attended The Summer School “McGregor” at Toowoomba University and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone. Learning and fun combined for two weeks.
Any form or Art is a wonderful way to fill your days and I am so glad that I am now part of this world.”
