SUTHERLAND OFFERS ENERGY AND EXPERIENCE
Redcliffe Mayor and candidate for the top job in the new Moreton Bay Regional Council, Cr Allan Sutherland, says he would bring a blend of energy and experience to the position.The 51-year-old fitness devotee is chair of the Local Transition Committee, which is charged with overseeing a range of issues associated with merging the Redcliffe, Pine Rivers and Caboolture Shire Councils.
Mega youth fest to set the region alight in 2009
Well that opportunity has arrived for the youth of South East Queensland with the announcement of a festival that will highlight the talents of the region and give young people an opportunity to engage with some of the most exciting performers and artists in this corner of the State.

LOCAL SUPPORT GROUP RUNS CANCER INFORMATION COURSE
A local branch of Canhelp Australia Wide, a charitable non-profit organization, has been established in the Samford-Dayboro area as a result of the excellent attendance at the presentation by Darryl Jones at the Samford Bowls Club on
Darryl and wife Jan, founders of Canhelp Australia Wide were thrilled with the response from so many eager to learn from their years of experience in helping people overcome cancer and other health issues.
The following morning a meeting was also well attended by people who were willing to establish a group in Samford to learn more about Darryl’s program in order to help others as “Cancer Buddies”.
The first stage in the learning process will be a weekend course on
In this course participants will learn about such things as – What is cancer? What causes cancer? and How to support someone with cancer to help them achieve a positive outcome.
