ZONTA CLUB OF PINE RIVERS INC. Celebrating International Women’s Day on 7th March.  Guest speakers at this years International Women’s Day lunch will be Magistrate, Dianne Fingleton and Film maker, Jennifer Ussi.
Club president, Jan Spittle said both women have been instrumental in their respective professions in raising awareness of women’s issues.

Club President, Jan Spittle, said she was delighted to have two speakers, who have in the legal and creative professions, reflected Zonta International’s goals of improving the lives of women locally and internationally.
Ms Spittle said Dianne Fingelton lobbied tirelessly for the establishment of women’s community legal services in Queensland.
These services have been operating for several years now in Queensland and have given women from all walks of life access to free legal services Ms Spittle said.
Ms Spittle said Jennifer Ussi is an award winning script writer, who is currently filming a fictionalized account of women suffering from female genital mutilation, in an attempt to raise the awareness of this issue worldwide.
Ms Spittle has extended an invitation to all women to come and hear these two remarkable women speak about the resilience and determination needed to achieve a better quality of life for women.
