Two long-serving members of the Dayboro And District Rural Fire Brigade were honoured for their dedication to the fire safety of their community when awarded Department of Emergency Services Australia Day Achievement Award Medallions for 2008.

Yes, it is that time again when we start to think about this years play. Once again we are fortunate to have a local person prepared to write another play for us. I think everyone agrees that the last few plays have been great and we expect another great one this year.

There’s not much news from the Mountain this month – every-one is immobilised by the mud. Shoes and wardrobe contents are going mouldy – it’s just like the good old days. I hear that some are actually buying household dehumidifiers.

Oakhill Falls. This minor Mt Mee West watercourse which feeds Neurum Creek has been bone dry since 1991.

Apologies for this long overdue update but the club has been running “deep and silent” for a number of months following a minor administrative oversight that caught the attention of the Queensland Department of Fair Trading… By the time you are reading this we should be in the clear, or visiting the secretary in the big house.
