Local residents are being urged to have their say as part of the most extensive review for recreation of SEQ dams and catchments ever undertaken.
On the 17th July 2013, Energy and Water Supply Minister, Mark McArdle, will release a discussion paper on the future of recreational options for Lake Samsonvale and Lake Kurwongbah; one in a series of 14 discussion papers covering the region’s 26 dams.

Moreton Bay Regional Council and the State Government are contributing $178,000 towards the construction of a covered arena for Samford’s Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA).

Moreton Bay Regional Council is planning further upgrades to the Dayboro Rodeo arena with more than $150,000 earmarked in 2013/14 budget to begin rebuilding the livestock holding yards at the Dayboro Showgrounds.
