A new permanent officer has been selected for Dayboro. The appointment is still subject to an appeal process so next month I should be able to confirm details of our new officer.

A chorus of “Happy Birthday Aunty Eunice” was sung by a large number of relatives of Eunice Hope Rose (formerly Williams) on Sunday 29th April 2012 at the Dayboro Show Grounds. The Rose and Williams families came together on the day to celebrate the long life of a very gracious lady.

Samford Showgrounds is located 25km from Brisbane and 7km from Samford Village on 40 acres of lush surrounds. Facilities consist of an arena, a large closed pavillion and buildings which can be hired. There are powered sites and facilities for short-term caravan users. The showgrounds are a meeting place for motoring and caravan clubs, riding for the disabled, professional equestrian events, carriage drivers and polocross. The Annual Show is usually held each July.
