Forget all about your LOT number, as this only applied to the developer when they were developing your estate. Your HOUSE NUMBER, when displayed on the front of your home or on your front fence, makes it so much easier for Emergency Services, whether it be Police, Ambulance or Fire Brigade, to respond to you in an emergency. HOUSE NUMBERS criss-cross back and forward across your street or road, but LOT numbers usually go down one side of the street to the rear of the estate and come back along the other side of the street, making it extremely hard for Emergency Services to find you when we are required.
For rural property owners around Dayboro:
Please make note of your rural numbering post on the footpath outside your gate – the yellow post with the blue numbers. These posts are vital for Emergency Services to locate your property in an emergency. Unfortunately, these posts don’t last forever so, if your post has disappeared for some unknown reason, please contact Moreton Bay Regional Council (Pine Rivers District Offices) in Strathpine to have it replaced.
If you do know your rural number, please display it prominently beside your driveway or on your gate in bold numbers. You may only ever have to call Emergency Services once in your whole lifetime, but it may be that one time when a life requires saving, so do the right thing and please help us to help you.
Did you know there are numerous Lot No 10 on all roads leading into and out of Dayboro? Please use your Rural Numbering.
