ARTIST OF THE MONTH – JOAN GERRY
Joan Gerry is a well known local artist.
Joan was born in England and immigrated to Australia in 1970 and has called Dayboro home for the past 19 years.
Joan has been an active member of the Dayboro Art Gallery for the past 16 years.
Joan has studied art under Pir Tareen for nine years and also with Dale Marsh for seven years.
Joan loves to paint in the impressionist style but her collection of abstract works has proved to be very popular too.
Not just restricted to the canvas, Joan also works in clay depicting native animals. In particular the echidnas are most sought after.
