July2015_TO ALL LOCAL RESIDENTS

Koala Action Inc. would like to invite those interested in koalas to a Koala Chlamydial Vaccine Trial Presentation and update on Saturday 18th July 2015 at 10am at CREEC, Rowley Road Burpengary.  Professor Peter Timms will be providing the most recent updates to those attending. 

Members of koala groups within the Sunshine Coast and Moreton Bay region will be invited as well as members of environmental and bush care groups.  Morning tea will be provided.  

This presentation is being given to thank KAI for providing funds for laboratory work being undertaken by Sharon Nyari (a new PhD Sunshine Coast University Doctoral Candidate recruited to continue the development of the Koala Chlamydia Vaccine for one year) under the guidance of Professor Peter Timms and Associate Professor Adam Polkinghorne.  After morning tea a presentation will be given by Romane Cristescu, University of the Sunshine Coast about koala scat detection dogs.  KAI thought that others may be interested in learning more about this very important koala project.
