DAYBORO BOWLS CLUB
Our June Financial Day was generously sponsored by our own Patroness Edna Wruck and husband Des
Edna always puts on a good day with lots of surprises and everyone has a great day. Thank you again Edna & Des. There were 8 prizes on the day, and these were gift wrapped towels and everyone had a lucky number. There was the usual spider prizes which went to Sue Carmichael and Marion O’Brien both from Pine Rivers. Edna surprised everyone with a "neatest card" prize which went to Marie Gibson, Everton Park.
Our raffle went to Beryl Nicholson, Scarborough. Edna was rewarded with one of the fruit and vegetable trays with the other going to Pat Robinson, Pine Rivers. Our Friendship Day on 28 May was a great day and it was good to see our President Rosemary back from Hong Kong, even with her broken wrist. Hopefully she will soon be back playing with us. This day also produced two new prospective players, and we hope to see them back as regulars. Mixed Social Days – Wednesdays, 9 a.m. M/Tea. 9.30 a.m. play.
