Joy Leishman Mayoral Candidate
Joy Leishman’s campaign for Mayor of the newly created Moreton Bay Regional Council was launched in December at Wantima Country Club.
Serving as an elected representative of Caboolture Shire Council since 1985, Deputy Mayor from 1988 and Mayor from 2000, Joy Leishman is a strong and dedicated leader.
Joy believes in striving for balance between building an economically sustainable region whilst maintaining the core elements at the heart of ‘community’.
Over the December/January period there has been an increase in traffic accidents in the area, mainly due to the wet weather. Fortunately there have been no serious injuries but it is a timely reminder to take extra care on the wet roads.
