Renewable is do-able

Pine Rivers Climate Action Network (CAN) have had an upsurge in their supporter numbers after a very successful public meeting in February about a major project for 2008. The Solar Neighbourhood Scheme is a project aiming to set up communities of 50 houses to install rooftop solar cells, thereby reducing household electricity costs and greenhouse gas emissions. The project is under way in the Samford area with plans to expand throughout the year.

FOOTIE CLUB NEWS March 08

Dayboro Opens played in the Pine Rivers Cup at Dayboro on 9th February 2008.  Dayboro played Samford and WON 22 – 6, retaining the Jack Lawson/Earl McDonald Shield.
The next game, at Pine Rivers on 16th February, resulted in Pine Rivers winning 16/30, after Dayboro was ahead 12/8 at the half time mark.

horseriders_4triders.gifOur club conducted its Annual General Meeting and election of officers on 14th February, resulting in Bob Ebert as President;  Arthur Kent as Vice President;  Debby Kirkwood as Acting Secretary – until we can find one (or two) replacements;  Christie Hopp is our new Treasurer;  and Selwyn Barr remains our Trail Boss.  The A.T.H.R.A. delegates are Arthur Kent, Jenny Hay and Bob Ebert.
