Beautiful weather and visitors started to arrive early.  Cups of tea/coffee with Anzac Biscuits was a very popular pit stop. Charlie was kept busy sharing his knowledge and know how on information relating to our Anzacs.  Martin and Michael in the blacksmith shop were kept going displaying their knowledge on the forge.  One of our younger visitors, Georgia Fitzgerald of Samford was fortunate and happy enough to don a replica of a Viking’s outfit, worn around 1000 to 1200.  This very heavy and impressive outfit was made by Martin.

School Watch

The next school holiday period starts on 27th June and as has been the case for a number of years, a group of local volunteers help us take the school watch program one step further by walking through the school at random times and reporting anything suspicious.  If you would like to volunteer please contact Dayboro Police Station. 

North Pine Bush Poets Group has been regularly performing Bush Poetry at Old Petrie Town since Easter Sunday 1996.  Come enjoy a casual morning in company with local poets as they share Australian Heritage and modern life in fun filled verse.  All comers are welcome to take part or sit back in the audience — and the price is right.  It’s top quality entertainment for free.
