A homeless chicken that was washed away from its family in the 2011 floods has made Queensland medical history recently.  Found after the floods by local chicken enthusiasts, Truffle made her home in Dayboro and quickly settled into their welcoming flock.

Jungle Time – As this edition of Dayboro Grapevine goes to press, 5 Dayboro residents will be deep in the Bolivian Amazon jungle, visiting Mik Henzell and all the kids at Casa Segura (Safe House).  Joining Judy and myself on our 5th visit, will be Geoff & Karen Gear along with their son, Peter.

Again we meet for our normal monthly meeting at the Wavell Heights Community Hall in Edingburgh Castle Road behind the child care rooms.  We normally meet at 09.30 till noon however this month we are off for our Christmas in July to a mystery site.

July2015_Dayboro Community Kindergarten

KINDY NEWS
Annual Ladies High Tea 
Saturday 1st August is the date.  It is at the Dayboro Football Club from 1pm to 4pm.  The theme this year is “Rustic Village’.  With entertainment by Sharryn Bell and fantastic raffle prizes, be sure to purchase your tickets early as numbers ae limited.  Tickets $20, with tables of 8 – 10 able to be booked.  Contact Rebecca Yates on 0417 427 757 or email ryates111@outlook.com   (See separate article for more details.)
