Aug2015_Dear Editor _4 of 4

‘Twas with much mirth I read the letters to the Editor in the last 2 issues. “Ease up Turbo” and “Radars on Nomads” – had me reminiscing on the time my dear old mother stopped on a busy roundabout to give way to the cars leaving the Western Freeway.  She told me SHE wasn’t going to have an accident.  “Tell the 3 cars that have just had a pile up behind you!” was my response.

Time and distance differentials, in my humble opinion, are superfluous.  The simple fact is that most accidents are due to driver error and poor decision making.  Slow drivers causing frustration are significant in creating such poor judgement.
Most of us are happy for aging drivers to keep their independence.  Most of us have marked consideration for learners.
But if I may be so bold to our budding mathematician, Not Sergeant X, it would seem the 15 seconds lost by pulling over in consideration of faster drivers, is nowhere near as much to gets one’s blood pressure up as the 2 minutes cost to others by arrogantly holding up the flow.
