Apr2014_Atomic Rush Represents Qld with Pride

Atomic Rush, the F1 in Schools team from Pine Rivers State High School attended the National F1 in Schools Competition in Canberra from 13th to 20th March.

They competed in areas such as fastest car, best engineered design, best pit display, and best portfolio.  They also delivered speeches and shook hands with representatives from government departments and leading businesses in the fields of engineering and design.

Unfortunately the competition was too great for them and they are not able to continue on to represent Australia.  Both teams QANTUM and Gamma Rayzing will progress to represent Australia in Abu Dhabi in October.
The team was also fortunate to be given the opportunity to undertake a tour of Neil Bates Rally Car Workshop and to attend some of the Nations attractions while in Canberra.

Tyler Redfern, Project Manager and Design Engineer said “we would like to thank all of our sponsors for their support and particularly for those in the Dayboro area.  It is great to live in a small town where there is so much community support”.   Atomic Rush would like to thank the following:  Dayboro Progress Association; Dayboro Lions; Dayboro Rodeo Committee; Dayboro IGA; ARK Activewear & Print; and the Pitstop Café.
