King of the Plains by Jane Zadow, Artist of the Month at the Dayboro Community Art Gallery.
September features Jane Zadow as Artist of the Month at Dayboro Community Art Gallery. Over recent months, amongst the landscapes and flowers, between the mosaics and the photographs, animals have appeared. Over the past twelve months Jane has used “Hide, Fur and Feathers” as inspiration to paint. This has resulted in a series of four Acrylic paintings, five Pastel paintings and numerous Watercolours.
Painting is part of my soul says Jane. I am totally engrossed, intellectually, and emotionally challenged each time I create in paint or pastels. . . from initial inspiration to the actual physical making of marks, and my development of the composition, form, colour and light. These paintings are an emotional journey that is always a part of me long after the work has been sold or put away in the cupboard unframed.
