The sound of the human voice, raised to praise and honour the Divine holds a place in all faiths.  Chant in particular – sung phrases of sacred text unique to each tradition in language, form and melodic structure – has found its way into the global music genre in forms such as Gregorian chant or Kirtan (Hindu Devotional Chant).  All faiths have a chant tradition. In this concert we will share a sampling of the beauty of many types of chants including traditional compositions.

There will be opportunities for audience participation and some short meditation between chants.

PLEASE BRING A CANDLE (in a container) to light at the beginning of the concert.
