Sep2013_U3A Pine Rivers

Our Acting President is Andy Doogan who is forging the way through negotiation with Council, State and Federal representatives in trying to secure us a bigger home base, within the local area.  Our numbers have now reached 800 during August.

We had many U3A members volunteer at the Pine Rivers Show covering areas of Education, Office duties, ticket box, grounds staff and general duties and they all agreed it was a great show – fantastic weather and good fun to help out.  

The U3A Pine Rivers will be holding the Annual Fashion Parade in conjunction with our monthly social and information meeting on Friday 20th September 2013 starting at 10.00am.  Fashions will be provided by “Fashions on the Go” based in Scarborough.  The event will be at Bray Hall Cnr Cooke and O’Loan Sts., Petrie.  Take the opportunity to catch up on and maybe purchase the latest fashions as well as booking for the theatre, bus trips and hear about our newer classes and activities.  Entry is FREE and visitors and prospective members are welcome.  Light refreshments are provided for a gold coin donation.  Support us by purchasing raffle tickets at the door.
