MEETING NEWS:
New Junior Member: Welcome to Kaila Sinclair (4 years) who was presented with her name badge on 18 September 2012.
International Day went off well with special thanks to Joycelynn, our International Officer, for all her preparation work and the really interesting talk on the day.  Also to the two Alisons for their cooking expertise in preparing a very tasty lunch.
On behalf of George Hartnett Funerals, member Patsy Cains made a donation to the Dayboro QCWA.  Thank you Patsy, and George Hartnett Funerals.
Women’s Health and Wellbeing Morning Tea 18 September 2012.  Unfortunately we did not get as good an attendance as expected at this very informative function.   Jenny from Dayboro Medical Centre gave a very informative talk on the role of the nurses at the Surgery.  Also Trudy from the Northside Wellness Clinic at Old Petrie Town (Dayboro Rd, Kurwongbah) talked about all their services.  Mary from the Samford Chiropractic Centre was also very interesting.  Thank you to those speakers for the interesting and informative morning.
CRAFT 1st and 4th Fridays of month:  From 9.30am and costing $3.00.  Beginners welcome as we do have a teacher for various crafts.  So if you want a chat, or learn a new craft or just bring along your own work, we would love to see you. Everyone welcome and you do not need to be a member.  If you would like to stay for lunch, members bring along food to share.
TIMOR BIRTHING KITS:  We will have had a working bee on 28th September to measure cut and sew sheets for these kits.
CATERING:  We still do catering on request.  Our next one is for the Samsonvale Firies in October.
SENIORS MORNING TEA:  Make a note in your diary.  This will be held on Tuesday, 20 November 2012.
