NETWORK TOPIC_December 2015
On behalf of the Grapevine Crew, I wish all of our readers and advertisers a safe and joyous Christmas season and all the best for 2016.
Wow . . . Things sure do get busy as the year winds to a close!! Are you left wondering how the year flew by so quickly?
Have you set some goals for what you wish to achieve in 2016?
If the setting of goals is the difference between the years seeming to fly by in a blur and you instead making ‘milestone moments’ along the way, then starting off 2016 with some short and long term goals in place may be the most memorable of your New Year Resolutions ever.
Goal setting,
Action plan
. . . mighty words . . . .but of course it is the follow-through that is oh so important!
Let’s see where 2016 can take us!
That pep talk done . . . .let us look to what the close of 2015 has in store. Our community has a great choice of family Christmas events that are open for all to attend. . . . . Mt Mee have already had their “Carols on the Mountain” but here is a list of what is still to come:
Dec 12th (Saturday) Swaggies Christmas (see page 7)
Dec 13th (Sunday) Carols under the Big Tree (see page 3)
Dec 19th (Saturday) Childrens Christmas (see page 6)
Dec 19th (Saturday) Carols in the Street (see page 7)
Then, of course, there are the Christmas functions by all of the individual clubs, organisations and businesses around the district. Be sure to stay safe and don’t drink and drive – no family wants ‘that sort of Christmas surprise’.
Coming up in 2016 will be our Local Government elections – set for March 19. Do you want a “Meet the Candidates” night?
MEET THE CANDIDATES?
DAYBORO . . Hands up if you want a Meet the Candidates evening? . . . in March 2016 – for the Local Government Elections?
If you want this opportunity let Doreen know and, provided there is enough support for the event, we will make it happen.
Yes, our Council Elections will be held on Saturday 19th March, 2016. As Cr Bob Millar is not running for re-election we will have to choose from the new line-up. Our Division – i.e. Div. 11 – covers the area from Mt Nebo to Narangba.
ALSO: Will we introduce the candidates for Mayor as well?
