Mar2015_READY FOR FUN ON CELTIC NIGHT – March 28th
The Celtic Night at Mt Mee Hall on March 28th will be a fun-filled evening showcasing local talent, including local family, the Ashbys of Ocean View. John and Sarah have been teaching Scottish Country Dancing for nearly twenty years, first in the UK then here in SE Qld and a few years ago started “Reel Rhythms”, offering bespoke ceilidh nights for parties, weddings and any function you like.
Celtic Fusion and the Ashbys have been seen around the region together at the last three Redcliffe Pipe Band St Andrew’s Night festivities and even went as far afield as Byron Bay to host a wedding ceilidh.
John and Sarah are familiar faces as both are members of the Ocean View Rural Fire Brigade and Sarah is a member of the Dayboro players. Their daughter Juliette is an accomplished Scottish dancer too but is more familiar from her work at Dayboro Bakery, and she is also a member of the Players.
Sarah says “Living here is wonderful, we really enjoy being involved with the community. We come from a small Dorset town (seen on tv as Broadchurch) and appreciate the welcome we have received here and warmth and spirit of this area . We hope that as many people as possible come to the ceilidh and enjoy some great music and have a go at the easy dances.
