DIVISION 11 WELL REPRESENTED AT AUSTRALIA DAY AWARDS
The 2015 Moreton Bay Region Australian Day Awards held recently saw two of the winners coming from Division 11. Dayboro Mens Shed (represented by Ben Stafford) won the Community Event Award for their work in support of mens health and Kobble Creek resident, Damien O’Flaherty took out the sportsman of the year award for his continued mentorship of young people in martial arts and providing self-defence classes to help reduce bullying. Colourful fundraiser Tony "top hat" Moroney from Woodford was named Citizen of the Year.

$200 Million boost for pensioners
More than 770,000 Australian part-pensioners and allowance recipients will be given a $200 million boost to their payments with the lowering of the social security deeming rates from 20 March.

Dec2014_Lake Samsonvale Multi-Use Trails One Step Closer

Residents and tourists will soon have access to multi-use trails at Lake Samsonvale (North Pine Dam) following a $68,000 funding injection by the Queensland Government.
Member for Pine Rivers, Mr Seath Holswich, said the establishment of the new trails and a new car parking area at Kobble Creek would encourage more walkers, trail runners, mountain bikers and horse riders to the area.
