WELCOME BACK

Welcome to my first column for 2013. I hope that all the Dayboro Grapevine readers have had an enjoyable Christmas/New Year and that those of you who have had the opportunity to holiday are now refreshed and looking forward to the year ahead.  Council has delivered tens of millions of dollars in sporting infrastructure, community facilities, social programmes and arts and youth activities over the last 12 months and continued a high level of engagement with the community on many issues through a number of different avenues.

CHRISTMAS IS ALMOST UPON US
By the time this edition of the Grapevine is on the streets, we will be within a few weeks of yet another Christmas and I’m sure like me, you all wonder where the past 12 months have gone.

First Annual Survey response.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the people who took the time and interest to fill out the Pine Rivers first annual survey.  I received an outstanding response.

Now is the time to show Australia that our schools are the safest and smartest in the country.
The “Safe Schools are Smart Schools” competition is open now and you can be in the running to win a $5000 prize for your school simply by showing what you do to stop bullies.

The latest rounds of the Regional Development Australia Fund were announced by The Honourable Simon Crean MP on Tuesday 23rd October 2012, offering grants of between $50,000 and $15 million to support infrastructure projects in regional Australia.
