The hand-forged steel work entitled “GUST”, by Dayboro’s David Bradley was an eye-catching favourite, even though missing out on a prize.  Having your artwork accepted as an entry in these awards is noteworthy.  The actual winners are at the whim of the judge and their art preferences.

June2014_”UNWIND IN THE VINES” with Troy Cassar-Daley

One of Australia’s most popular country superstars, Troy Cassar-Daley, is stepping out of his comfort zone for a special “Unwind In The Vines” show at the Ocean View Estates Winery on Sunday 15th June.  Occurring in the midst of his shows with Adam Harvey on The Great Country Songbook tour, this event will see Troy accompanied by The Queensland Youth Orchestra Big Band, performing everything from country hits to swing legends.

May2014_SAMSONVALE HISTORY

– Ken Gold’s “A boy from Samsonvale”
Ken Gold has reported that following the launch of his book at the Samsonvale Hall in December he has sold all of the 200 copies he had printed. 
 
A further 100 copies have been printed and copies are available at the Mount Samson School, Samford Museum, Dayboro Historical Society and the Pine Rivers Historical Museum where these societies can benefit from profits on sales.
