DAY FOR DANIEL – MONDAY 3 NOVEMBER 2008

On 3 November all staff and students of Mount Mee State School displayed a unified stand for child safety by participating in the Day for Daniel Community walk.
76 students and 6 staff wearing red shirts walked several kilometres along Austin Road carrying red balloons and wearing red ribbons.

Staying cool and comfortable this summer doesn’t have to cost the earth, according to EnergyAustralia.
EnergyAustralia’s Energy Efficiency Expert Paul Myors said homeowners could keep the temperature and their post-summer power bills at bay with just a few simple steps.
“We know that almost 90 per cent of homeowners over-cool their homes during summer,” Mr Myors said.
“For the days you do want to use your air conditioner set it between 23 and 26 degrees for the most efficient results.

Kathy’s parents, Anne and Gary Leonard, and Trevor’s, Joan and Allan Kilby, have plenty of time to prepare for the wedding, with the date set for April 2010.
