THE RITZ DAYBORO Feb09

The Ritz Dayboro is entering its 3rd year in town and under the expert guidance of Head Teachers – Karen Mellers and Rajna Barry – the students achieved extremely high dance exam results from their first exam session held right here in Dayboro at our Community Hall in December 2008. 
Honours marks or higher (i.e. 91% and over) were achieved by 75% of students.  A fantastic result for their first exams!

Well, there goes another year!  It was quite a salutary one for those self funded retirees who are sprinkled quite liberally around the Mountain.  Many lost half or more of their worth in 2008 – as someone said – “It’s worse than divorce, because I’ve lost half my assets and still got the wife!”
Everyone is hoping that in 2009, recession doesn’t bite too hard into the earnings of those bloodied investments, and that eventually, it will all “come right” for the kids.

With the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave set for 12 – 14 March 2009, Queenslanders are being challenged to take the plunge and bravely shave or colour their hair in support of leukaemia patients.
Registrations are now open for Queenslanders to get on board for this fundraiser to help patients and their families living with leukaemias, lymphomas, myeloma and related blood disorders.
