‘THE BRISBANE CITY POPS ORCHESTRA’ AND ‘BENCHMARK’
On Sunday 31st at 2pm the Mt Mee Hall hosts the Brisbane City Pops Orchestra (BCPO), presenting “POSTCARDS”- a programme of popular music selected from around the world.

The whole community is invited to come and reminisce between 10am and 2pm at the Samford Historical Museum and view a fascinating array of items detailing the history of the Samford area.

Dear Editor,
About 15 years ago, a local land developer acquired a property (the Lee family farm) at Armstrong Creek, bounded by Lee’s Crossing Road, Armstrong Creek Road and the North Pine River. Part of the conditions laid down by the then Pine Rivers Shire Council was that the developer had to agree to ‘partially fund’ infrastructure in the form of a replacement causeway below Creek Lane on Armstrong Creek Road.

These are proving to be quite a headache . . . and consume much of my time with emails exchanging back and forth. The amazing capacity of todays digital cameras – and this includes phone cameras too – is often not reflected in the photos being sent through for publication. BIGGER is better with these files!
NEXT EDITION in 2015
The deadline for submissions for the next edition, SEPTEMBER 2015, is Friday 21st August 2015 – due out from Tuesday 8th September 015.
The August edition is out now and our digital edition will be available to download by Thursday 6th August. ALL Stories contained in the edition will have been uploaded to the website by Saturday 8th August and photos will be available to view in our Facebook album soon.
