Apr2014_RSL NEWS FROM DAYBORO CHAPTER
Bray Park – Strathpine RSL Sub Branch
ANZAC DAY 2014
As per last year we will form up behind the RSL Banner at the Hotel at 9am. All Members, Prospective Members, Guests, Visitors, Veterans, Peace Keepers, Peace Makers, QCWA Members and Relatives young or old are welcome to join us. Note: There is no need to be a member of the RSL to join us on the march.
It must be noted ANZAC Day 2014 will be officially the last time that the Chapter will march together as a Chapter; we have applied to RSL QLD to become a fully fledged RSL Sub Branch, something Dayboro hasn’t had since 1943.
We will again be selling badges and other memorabilia in the front of the Dayboro IGA, in the 10 days prior to Anzac Day. You may not be aware, but the RSL has very few options available to them in regards fund raising and unfortunately we do rely on the generosity of many and the sales emulating from Remembrance and Anzac Day, so please dig deep as all the funds remain in the Dayboro District and help not only the RSL but other organisations in the community.
FREE DAYBORO RSL SAUSAGE SIZZLE
SATURDAY 19 APRIL 2014
As a show of appreciation for the generous community support received during previous Anzac Days, the Dayboro RSL once again intends to hold a free sausage sizzle between 9am – 1 pm on Saturday 19 April 2014.
The RSL BBQ and ANZAC Day badge sales tents will be located within the grassed area opposite the IGA and residents and visitors are welcome. The members of the Dayboro RSL are looking forward to meeting new faces and catching up with the ones we already know on the day.
