Your recycle week online
You no longer have to watch for the neighbours to put out their yellow top bin to work out when it’s recycling week in your street.
Moreton Bay Regional Council has launched a new website tool which can tell your PC or smartphone’s electronic calendar when it’s bin day.
Mayor Allan Sutherland said using the recycling bin application was as simple as clicking on council’s website and keying in your address.
“Once you’ve downloaded your street’s recycling calendar it integrates with your computer or smartphone calendar – all you need to do is set the reminder alert,” Mayor Sutherland said.
“It helps make the Moreton Bay Region an even easier place to recycle.”

Moreton Bay Regional Council provides weekly general waste collections and fortnightly recycling collections.
