The No Liver No Life group has handed over a $31,000 cheque to the Australian Liver Foundation after an arduous fundraising adventure that saw them travel through the outback.

Brisbane Hinterland 4wd Tours and Training’s Bob and Marian Rogan started the group after Mr Rogan unexpectedly fell ill with liver failure.
It was during a visit to the Simpson Desert that Mr Rogan started having problems and was soon in need of an urgent liver transplant.
“He came home early [from his trip] bright yellow and five weeks later we found out,” Ms Rogan said.
“We were told if he didn’t have an urgent transplant he would die.”
“But the doctors were never really sure what the cause was.”
Ms Rogan expressed her gratitude to so many people who helped in their fundraising mission.
“Their hearts and pockets are big,” Ms Rogan said.  “We look forward to this year once again raising more money and much more awareness into Liver Disease.”
Ms Rogan said she felt it was necessary to make people aware that alcohol was not the only contributor to liver disease.
The trip saw them go from Brisbane to Tenterfield to Tibooburra to Cameron’s Corner and Charleville.
“We had a lot of people out there commenting on our cause.  It really helped us raise awareness and gave us a chance to promote Tenterfield,” Ms Rogan said.
“Doctors have said that this will become an epidemic unless we start to learn more.”
The group is now preparing for their next voyage which will see them starting in Goondiwindi.
“We are thinking about heading to the far reaches of outback NSW and then back to central-southern Queensland,” she said.
“The tour dates will be June 9 to 19 in 2014.”
The group is now hoping to attract new members who can help with fundraising efforts.
