Sep2013_Redcliffe Festival
(Sept 14 & 15)
Celebrity chefs, live music, on water action and family fun is all part of the 2013 Celebrate Redcliffe Festival.
Running September 14 and 15, the free two-day festival will kick off with a celebration of colour, culture and cuisine at Saturday’s Sunset Fiesta in Charlish Park from 4pm.
Redcliffe Parade will come alive with street dancers, roving entertainment and fireworks to help provide the perfect dining experience at many Redcliffe restaurants.
Moreton Bay Regional Council Mayor, Allan Sutherland said the Sunday Street Party would feature celebrity chef Matt Gollinski, two Superboat races at 11am and 1pm as well as a re-enactment marking the 189th anniversary of Queensland’s first European settlement.
More than 10 Superboats are expected to take to the water to compete for the 2013 championship.
The action doesn’t stop there with plenty of live music, entertainment, rides, children’s activities and a series of bayside cooking demonstrations with Queensland Rugby League great, Billy Moore.
Families will also have the chance to get up close to the action, meet the Superboat drivers and watch as the boats are craned into the water at the Scarborough Marina on Saturday between 10am and 3pm.
