Sept2012_Rendezvous at Dayboro
Rendezvous Ramblings
At Rendezvous we are really fortunate to interact with a wide range of people in Dayboro, some who have lived here all their lives and some who, for many different reasons, have chosen to live here.

Constantly we are reminded of the talent and incredible range of experience this community has to offer. We have artists, writers, photographers, moviemakers, saddle makers, jewellers, musicians, pattern makers, scientists, professional sports coaches, builders, earth-movers………… we are very proud to be part of this amazing community and thank all our customers for not only your patronage but your stories.
As you already know, over the past 2 years, Rendezvous has been running a series of evenings to help showcase the work of local people just starting out or rekindling their passions. There have been authors, bush poets, musicians, teenage councillors, and it has been exciting for us to be a part of their journey. A big thank you to Annette Henderson and her husband Will who enthralled us with their story of living with the great Apes in Africa as they promoted their book ‘Wild Spirit’.
In September WENDY MURRAY, our local singing and music teacher is going to entertain us with a ‘WILD WOMEN’ repertoire. She will be accompanied by Steve Newcomb. Those of you who saw her last time know that this is an evening not to be missed. SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 29 at 6pm. Tickets are $25 which includes a glass of champagne on arrival and a selection of nibblies. Come in and book your tickets early.
Sometimes we get bogged down in the negativity of youth and forget that we have some incredible young people in Dayboro. Rendezvous would like to thank our amazing young staff who always put in 100%, are fun, enthusiastic and represent our town well. Thank you Lucie, Tina, Jordan, Ashleigh, Maddie and Steff. (They also make great coffee and food.
Rendezvous also has evening bookclubs and writers groups. If you are interested, come in and see us or check out our website www.rendezvousatdayboro.com.au. We also post when our fresh local cakes arrive as well as the arrival of new books/gifts on Facebook www.facebook.com/rendezvousatdayboro
Well that is it for another month,
Relax, Read, Rendezvous
