COPYRIGHT CLAIMS:

Copyright Agency Limited (CAL) will be forwarding money to us relating to works copied from our publication by various licensed agencies.  As the Dayboro Grapevine publishes articles supplied to us, the money from these copies is payable to the author of the works on these copied pages.  

In the most instances the amounts involved are under $2, many under 50 cents.  This amount is dependent on the number of copies made by the various Government agencies or media licensees and the nature of its copying e.g. it is more if communication includes electronic reproduction.  The time period for these claims extends from 2008 to current date.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CLAIM:

This notice is to advise any persons, as author of these copied works, to notify us by 30th November 2013 of their intention to claim any amounts which may be due to them.  

This notification must contain information about the nature of the published works, including the page number and Edition details e.g. year and which month’s edition it appeared in;  your name and address details;  and the method of payment information, as indicated in “PAYMENTS” below.

PAYMENTS:

We are a not-for-profit community group, and are seeking to make this cost-neutral for ourselves.  Our members will be volunteering their time for administering this on-forwarding of payments and we seek to only cover actual costs.  A transaction fee of 60cents will be deducted from bank transfer amounts;  and $1.25 from cheque payments – to cover the postage as well as the cheque transaction fee.

Please include your bank account details (BSB, Account Number and the name your account is in) or clearly indicate the name that the cheque needs to be made out to.
