Our last ride started with 21 riders, but unfortunately, 2 pulled out due to horse problems.  The remaining 19 carried on through Tullamore Park, Mt Mee Road, crossed Terrors Creek, Hay Road, Dayboro Road, into ‘cousin’ Warren’s, Strong Road, Rush Creek, Raaen Road, Bradley’s, Pioneer, Murray Road, Dayboro Road and home.
Parts of this ride will be used on the Big October Ride and is very scenic.
Lunch was bacon, egg, and fried tomato rolls, cooked well by Danny and Graham, (thanks boys), followed by dessert consisting of apple pie, custard, strawberries, blueberries, and then lollies! – “Nice one Lisa.”
Some cold drinks, tea and coffee, general discussion, a bit of gossip, all topped off a grand days horse riding with friends.
A reminder if you intend coming on the Big October Ride, would you please send your nomination forms in now so that catering can be organised for both the Friday and Saturday night meals, and any breakfasts required.
This will be a new ride, and as you know, we leave the Showgrounds at 8.30am sharp with Police escort through town.
So locals, please come and watch the horses as we ride up Williams Street – take some photos to show your suburban friends!
Bob Ebert,
President.
