May2015_NEWS FROM DAYBORO TRAILRIDERS

TRAIL RIDES:  4th Sun 8.00am, Dayboro Showgrounds, off Mt Mee Road.
The March Ride was light on for starters as the weather looked like rain would continue, but this was not to be as it did not rain until everybody had left the show grounds.

We set off to Mt Mee Road under the bridge;  through Craig Doyle’s estate;  Fingerboard Road;  Neil’s place;  Pioneer for some up and down hill scenic trails;  Joe Bradley’s past the dairy;  Murray Road;  Dayboro Road;  past the tennis courts;  Heathwood Street;  Tullamore Park and home for lunch.
A most enjoyable lunch and plenty of chit chat followed.  If you pulled out because of the weather you missed a really good ride.
The T.R.A. camp and ride at Easter was also light on for riders, but we rode every day and it never rained when we rode.  All the trails were very safe – a couple of creek crossings were average – good rides anyway.  The happy hour turned into hours with meals quite late.  Saturday night at the pub was a great night.
Dayboro was to the fore with double the numbers of any other club.  There were T.R.A. members from Beachmont, Caboolture and North Coast.  It turned out to be a great camp, meeting the friendly people from the new clubs who joined T.R.A. this year and to welcome them.
The word from Kilkivan was their numbers were down again and it was disappointing for quite a lot who were there because of its reputation.
Our next away camp is Frasers, on the long week end in June.
