– Ken Gold’s “A boy from Samsonvale”
Ken Gold has reported that following the launch of his book at the Samsonvale Hall in December he has sold all of the 200 copies he had printed.
A further 100 copies have been printed and copies are available at the Mount Samson School, Samford Museum, Dayboro Historical Society and the Pine Rivers Historical Museum where these societies can benefit from profits on sales.
His book titled A boy from Samsonvale deals with the history of Samsonvale from the 1930’s until the 1980’s. At the reunion of old residents and friends held in the relocated Samsonvale hall on December 7 last year, over 100 copies were taken away. Ken has been quite surprised and rewarded to receive many complementary phone calls from readers who enjoyed being reminded of conditions and events in the district in the fifty years that have passed so quickly.
