May2013_NEWS FROM Dayboro Vet Surgery

I must say it’s great to see our clients walking in through the front door at long last.  The car park still needs to be sealed but we’re getting there.
Here we are in May and still it’s raining!  With this continued wet weather we are still seeing 3 day fever in cattle and buffalo fly are also hanging around causing skin irritation and eye infections, so keep up your fly control.
We’re also still seeing tick envenomation more frequently than usual for this time of year, so make sure that tick prevention is up to date.
Footrot is another of those annoying wet weather issues, which can plague cattle, sheep and goats.  Please give us a call if your animals are lame.
Kristie is proud to announce her latest AI success here in Dayboro, with a 45 day pregnancy scan showing that all is progressing well.  We’re all looking forward to the safe arrival of this foal.  If you would like to hear the patter of little hooves in your paddock give Kristie a call.
The new mobile crush has been getting a good workout, what with equine pregnancy testing and dentals.  Don’t forget that your horses need regular dental checks just like your small furry friends.  It makes a huge difference to their health and comfort.
Give us a call and chat to our friendly staff if you have any concerns about your pets, large or small.
