U3A Pine Rivers will be holding our AGM followed by the 21st Birthday Luncheon at Club Pine Rivers on Friday 21st March 2014.  

 The AGM starts at 10.00am followed at 11.30am by the Luncheon. Guest Speaker will the Minister for Health and Minister for Sport, Peter Dutton MP.  

 

Our Local and State Representatives, Mayor Allan Sutherland, Trevor Ruthenberg MP and Seath Holswich MP (also attending) and especially the Board of Club Pine Rivers, have generously sponsored us for the day. These donations have allowed us to invite all our Current Life Members and Past Presidents as special guests also.

Nominations for the Committee closed on 7th March 2014.

 

The great news lately has been the winning of two grants for equipment.  Moreton Bay Regional Council awarded us $3,112 for the purchase of a Laser Printer and PA system and most recently the Jupiter’s Casino Community Benefit Fund $8,254.76 which will enable us to upgrade our computers, purchase two sealing machines for newsletters, a television for demonstrations and other much needed equipment.

 

Please note there will be no social day meeting at Bray Hall on Friday 21st March 2014 due to the AGM and 21st Birthday Luncheon.  The next Social day at Bray Hall will be April 11th, when you can come along and catch up on all the latest news.  This is early due to the Easter Break . Everyone is welcome.
