Red Deer Music and Arts Festival is extremely excited to announce that this year we are filling the first spot on our line-up with the winner of the Red Deer Band Comp. And guess what? You select the winner!
All musicians are eligible; including solos, duos, bands and groups. Entries are now open. So what are you waiting for? See below on how to enter and how you can have your say.
Conditions of entry:
1. Upload a good quality video of your band/group performing as a URL on the Red Deer Band Comp 2013 Facebook Event wall [i.e. youtube link]

2. Clearly display the name of your band/ group in the post and link it back to your facebook page/website
3. Limit to one video per group/band
4. Encourage your fans and friends to like and make comments on your video
5. Entries open 17th Feb and close 5pm 10th March (EST)
6. Five finalists will be selected by Red Deer judges.
7. The general public will have until 5pm on the 15th March (EST) to vote for their favourite artist from the five finalists.
8. Once voting has closed the band/group with the most votes wins and secures themselves a spot on the main stage at Red Deer Fest 2013.
All artist applications for this year’s festival open 1st March. Red Deer would like to encourage all band comp applicants to also apply online via the website under artist submissions. Good luck!
