Artist of the Month for MARCH: Robert Bradfield
Robert does not class himself as a full time artist although he has been painting on and off for many years. Like most of us, Robert has many other interests that keep him busy such as woodwork and clay. Throughout his artistic journey he has worked in various mediums such as pastel, pen and ink, pencil, watercolour and oil.
Over the years Robert has won many awards in most categories and has many works in private collections. Years of different applications and techniques have all added to the learning process and now he has recently replaced the brush for a pallet knife. Robert finds himself producing 90% of his work with the knife as he feels it gives him the freedom of expression, especially when he is painting landscapes.
