Mar2012_LOCAL FUNERAL DIRECTOR – Patsy Cains
The families around Dayboro are acknowledging the many benefits they’ve gained in the form of Patsy Cains, a local funeral director with George Hartnett Funerals and a real community asset.
“I love Dayboro and since coming here I have really enjoyed getting to know everyone,” said Patsy Cains.
Patsy has been a member of the Dayboro community since 2008 and in that time has really made her presence felt. As an active member of the Progress Association, Patsy has been part of the team that has delivered outstanding events and activities. This includes Dayboro Day, which only seems to get better each and every year; the Rodeo and the Swaggies Christmas Party where the gifts collected at George Hartnett Funerals annual Christmas Memorial service are distributed to the disadvantaged in our region.
The CWA and the local Lions Club have also seen first-hand the energy and commitment Patsy brings with her wherever she goes.
“Volunteer clubs like these and oganisations like the Progress Association put so much in to the community. Without them, life around Dayboro would be very different and it is my pleasure to roll up my sleeves and help out a bit; and by doing so I’ve found out just how great Dayboro and its surrounds really are,” Patsy said.
Patsy’s main focus since arriving here has been to assist families during a time of sadness and high emotions.
“Being a funeral director means listening to people, finding out how they want to say goodbye to their loved one, and then making the day run smoothly for them so they don’t have to deal with any stress,” said Patsy.
Patsy has been a funeral director for six years, beginning her time in the industry in Ferny Grove. Now that she is based in Dayboro, our families are able to benefit from the care she extends to all who need her services.
As part of the George Hartnett Funerals team, Patsy brings her experience and comforting manner to all she deals with.
“Being chosen by a family to make arrangements at such a sensitive time is a real honour. I am lucky to be part of the George Hartnett team, where I have great colleagues who are able to assist me to meet the needs of families in and around Dayboro.”
Patsy can be counted on for sincerity, care and professionalism – all of which is delivered by someone who has come to really know and understand the people of Dayboro.
Look out for Patsy around Dayboro. She is a wealth of information on topics like arranging a funeral, coping with grief and, in these budget conscious times, on how to save money by prepaying a funeral.
