Letter to the Editor: THANKS
Kay and I want to try to acknowledge the overwhelming kindness and goodwill shown to us by so many people as we moved from the district. We were very touched by the public farewell in the Hall, by the many invitations and callers and by the presentation of the beautiful images created by Rebecca Skillington of The LookOut and the ANZAC Memorial. That is a special place which has meant so much to us.
We have moved away from an extraordinary community, but we will be keeping as many linkages as we can.
We are not quite unpacked yet, (it doesn’t fit!) and without the wonderful help of family we would be in a pretty sort of fix. But the moving day itself was very successful, thanks again to family. Special mentions also to Angie McNab, who helped with the final clean and to Pam Hessian, who undertook the final tip run. Caloundra Removals and Storage were very personable, efficient and reasonable and we recommend them unreservedly.
But our final advice is – “Don’t do it”!
