July2015_DAYBORO ART GALLERY NEWS

Artist of the Month throughout July at Dayboro Community Gallery is one of our newest members, Jacqui Cousins.  Jacqui describes herself as a developing and emerging Brisbane artist, happiest when focusing on creating visually pleasing and interesting pieces of art, with a particular interest in using mixed media.  Her aim is to bring pleasure to both viewer and artist.
After working in oils for many years, Jacqui has recently, and enthusiastically, expanded her practice to include different mediums and techniques.  Attending classes with Artist Snippet Art School has been a significant catalyst.  Currently she is exploring works created using charcoals, graphite, coloured pencil, watercolour and ink and has taken on the challenges of pastel portraiture.
Recent works using multimedia in a single piece have given great satisfaction.  Since joining the gallery Jacqui has taken to free clay moulding with fellow members and friends, who provide “creative vibes” at the gallery. So please feel welcome to come and enjoy Jacqui’s artworks and support her enthusiasm and passion for creating fine arts.
The gallery is open each and every day between 10.00am and 3pm.  Hope to see you there.
If you are looking for that different gift call in to the Dayboro Art Gallery.   Open 7 days 10.00am – 3 pm.
