Anyone who saw The Black Sorrows live at Ocean View Estates last month will tell you about the incredible atmosphere and experience of an Unwind in the Vines outdoor concert.
If you missed out last time, the good news is that the second (and final) Unwind concert for 2013 is on Sunday 21 July, with tickets just $25 for adults and $15 for children, to see country-inspired sensation Sista Burley, along with Jill & Agro and Estate favourites The Redsell Brothers.
Twin sisters Bec and Kat Burley make up the headline duo, and their collection of original songs – which promise to pierce your heart, soothe your soul and give you goosebumps – have earned them a place in the international country music arena. They will be releasing their first EP for sale on the day.
Estate co-owners Thomas and Kate Honnef were thrilled to see so many local people at The Black Sorrows concert, despite the overcast conditions and cold day.
“Everyone had such a great time last month and we’re looking forward to doing it all again in a couple of weeks,” Kate said.
“These events really are unlike any other concert you’ll go to. Without the big crowds, our guests get closer to the artists, and its just a relaxed, social atmosphere.
“Bring along your picnic rug or folding chairs and we do the rest – beautiful food and wine combined with great music and entertainment.”
The Estate’s Art & Wine Combine program continues this month with upcoming workshops on Creative Photography (with local photographer Mark Buchanan – July 11-12), Mixed Media (with Shan Wood – July 13-14 & 20-21), Drawing for Beginners (with Lorraine Emerson – August 7), and Pastels (with Jane Zadow – August 8 & 15).
