Speech Therapist Joins Dayboro Allied Health team.
Speech Therapist, Bernadette Jilek, has started working out of the Dayboro Allied Health Centre with podiatrist, Sergio Gonzalez and massage therapist, Angela Weekly.
Speech Therapist, Bernadette Jilek, has started working out of the Dayboro Allied Health Centre with podiatrist, Sergio Gonzalez and massage therapist, Angela Weekly.
Bernadette Jilek is already familiar to many in the community as she lives with her young family in nearby Cedar Creek. A highly experienced Speech and Language Pathologist, Bernie has worked for many years with children and families to meet their communication and learning needs.
Bernie graduated from the University of Queensland in 1996 and worked extensively in the Brisbane south region as a school speech pathologist. In 2002 she completed a post-graduate degree in primary education and commenced working as a teacher, specialising in disability. Later she held a position as an advisory visiting teacher, supporting a range of schools to support children with special needs.
Other notable roles Bernie has held include working as a speech pathologist for Autism Queensland and more recently, working as a part-time class teacher in a local school. She has been operating Samford Speech Pathology for the past three and a half years and is pleased to extend support to new and existing clients in the Dayboro community.
Bernie is offering a wide range of speech pathology services in Dayboro for children, including assessment, reporting and treatment of speech, language, voice and literacy difficulties. She is also an accredited FaHCSIA provider for the Helping Children with Autism Package.
