July2012_COUNTRY MUSIC ON THE MOUNTAIN, July 7th

The swinging band “Lights On The Hill” presents an evening of mainstream Country music and other popular tunes from the 60s and 70s at the “Mt Mee Country Night” in the Mt Mee Hall on Saturday evening, July 7th, from 7.30 pm until late.
Mt Mee Country Nights have become something of a legend.  They combine a convivial atmosphere with quality music with broad appeal, a great dancing floor, good supper and a well stocked and very affordable licensed bar with a carefully chosen wine list.
The boys in the band met many years ago at Caboolture’s Homestead Country Music Club.  They have been working professionally in various configurations ever since and they are no strangers to Mt Mee’s country nights!  They are extremely competent musicians, their arrangements always sound authentic, they are great entertainers and their stuff rocks along!  It is hard to ask for more!
Mt Mee will see a five piece lineup of familiar faces again this year, with Norm Smith, Steve Fraser and Shane Bleakley on guitars, Peter Bigg on bass and Bill Turner on drums. Believe it or not, they all propose to sing too!
The doors (and bar) will open at 7pm.  Admission is $20.00 inclusive (other than for bar) and everyone will be seated at a table.
Booking is essential, both for catering purposes and to ensure plenty of room for dancing.  Book individually or get up a table of eight or so – phone Kay on 5498 2104 or Joyce on 5498 2270.
