HAY COTTAGE NEWS March 08

hay_cottage_logo.jpgHello readers, and welcome to another year.
Hay cottage held it’s Annual General Meeting on the 11th February 2008, and the existing committee have all been re-elected.  It was pleasing to see so many of our members in attendance.  Our Patron Rhonda Marsh (a descendant of the Hay’s family) happily accepted our invitation to also attend the meeting.  It was great to catch up with her, as 2007 was not a good year.
This year is going to be quite a challenge.  You may have noticed that the roof of the cottage is covered with a tarp.  All this beautiful rain has caused flooding in the back section of the cottage, thus causing concerns for our members and customers.  Thanks to Pam Armstrong and her workers at the council for their quick reaction to a very serious problem.
We have had to say goodbye to a few of our members due to changes in their lives.  New members have joined over the last couple of months.  Lynda with her beautiful cards for all occasions, and Sandy who makes animal magnets for little children.
Therefore, we invite you to come in and browse.  You never know what you may find.  We are always looking for new members.  Perhaps you do folk art or make pottery. If so please make enquiries at the cottage.
The Cottage is open everyday except (Good Friday, Anzac Day and Christmas Day) from 10am to 3pm.  Our phone number is 3425 1788.

Hon. President.
