Deputy Mayor, Greg Chippendale, said Wednesday August 12 would mark the 10th anniversary of Caboolture’s Family Fun Day at Centenary Lakes.
"We’re all tightening our belts in the current economic environment and the Moreton Bay Regional Council free Family Fun Day is the easiest way to entertain the clan without overdrawing the bank balance at the Ekka or enduring the commuter crush to Bowen Hills," The Deputy Mayor said.
"There’ll be show bags, fairy floss and toffee apples, all the traditional fairground attractions – even a big top featuring highly skilled circus performers with a comic twist.
"And we’ve just confirmed Bugs Bunny and Ronald McDonald’s Magic Show for this year’s star studded entertainment line up.
"Community groups are doing most of the hard yards with the profits being ploughed back into projects for the local region.
"Best of all most of it’s free or close to it. It’s a recession busting day out for the whole family."
The Moreton Bay Region Council Free Family Fun Day runs from 10am to 4pm, at Centenary Lakes.
Car parking is available at Centenary Lakes or at Caboolture Town Square with a shuttle bus service available.
